Wendover Air Field.

Brief & Notes:

Wendover Air Field is located in the Great Salt Lake Desert, near the Utah-Nevada border. This remote area, a former World War II Army Air Force base, is approximately 120 miles west of Salt Lake City. The field is a living historical monument to its crucial role as the training site for the 509th Composite Group, which included the B-29 Superfortress.
